Show Notes for Episode 7

God Is a Poem by Vic Zarley

God is a poem Who we must speak
Say Him soft and He is weak
Say Him firm and say Him bold
He will reaffirm your soul

It's not that God is undefined
But more that God has made your mind
He will not stop what you can think
So if you think there is no drink

Of His thirst quencher from His heart
Then it will seem that you can't start
But come to Him and know the truth
Sit across Him in the booth

Eat His bread and drink His wine
And let your mind so intertwine
With the truth and soon you'll see
Why Jesus said, "Please come to Me"

He means it now, He meant it then
He means for us to be His friends
He means for us to take Him in
And never let Him go again

When bound in Christ, we're truly free
When in the world, we're fidgety
We're not made to think so grim
We're only made to think in Him

So give it up, at last, be free
Do not live so desperately
Accept His thoughts as if they're true
And soon you'll see they are for you

Special thanks to Ann Davis for her song Elevator Music which I found on Music.Mevio.com

I was married for 7 years to a red-head named Pam. Sometime in the middle of our marriage, I got the strange chords and melody to The Light Beyond. It simply would not leave my mind. I found myself playing it over and over, over the years. But no words came. Years went by and eventually words did come but they were New Ageish. Then, I met and married Eva and together we reviewed and renewed many of my songs, adjusted them to fit my new truthful lifestyle. The Light Beyond is a beautiful, mysterious song that speaks of the deeper aspects of Christianity.

The Light Beyond by Vic Zarley

Please journey through your heart and mind
Once the curtain's pulled aside, what will you find?
What kind of sign?
At first you'll be afraid
A gravestone laid
But as you pray, a song
Reveals God's loving light beyond

The tears keep rolling down your face
You can't find behind your mind a Godly trace
A rainbow chase
Jesus will usher you
To something new
That's older than the dawn
Your Home is in God's light beyond
It can't be gone
God's work is done
Because He sent His Son

We walk together, you and I
With His life we know that we can never die
Why don't we fly?
For dwelling deep within
Not bound by sin
God's love bids we respond
And come into His light beyond
It won't be long
God's work is done
Because He sent His Son (hum then do) :

For dwelling deep within
Not bound by sin
God's love bids we respond
And come into His light beyond
It won't be long
God's work is done
Because He sent His son
